About Our Teachers

Laura Vanderberg started Here Yoga Wellness and More in 2007.  Her vision was, and still is, to help people experience their lives more fully.  For her, yoga is a way of life- a way of being that has allowed her to live her life more fully.  She serves the Big Horn Basin by offering yoga classes, specialty workshops, one-on-one yoga therapy sessions, and trains Yoga Alliance certified teachers through her Heart Mountain Yoga School.  Laura draws from her deep and varied background in holistic health and wellness (she's an ERYT500 yoga teacher and a certified yoga therapist) and science (she holds a PhD in microbiology and is a certified life and business coach).  She moved there and opened Here. Yoga for the Well Spirit studio in March, 2007.  She received her ERYT200 in 2008, completed a 700 hour certification (RYT500) with JJ Gormley with emphasis on yoga therapy in 2012 and has completed a 1000 hour Yoga Therapy certificate with JJ in 2015.  She received her ERYT500 designation from Yoga Alliance, in 2013, having logged well over 3000 teaching hours.  Laura has studied with a wide variety of teachers including JJ, Larry Payne, Baxter Bell, Kofi Busia, Beryl Binder Birch, Tao Porchon-Lynch, Michael Stone, Keno Gregor, Thom Birch, Doug Swenson, Suzie Hurley, Cynthia Snodgrass, Graham Schweig, Surya Little, Tias Little, and Linda Spackman.  Her eclectic teaching style draws from all these teaching traditions and from her travel experiences.  She brings compassion, kindness, gentle encouragement and a lightheartedness to all of her classes.

Laura has written articles on wellness for the local Cody newspaper, the Indie online magazine, Elephant Journal, and for Surya Chandra Yoga Sanga non-profit, of which she is a board member.  She leads yoga retreats in the US and internationally.  Her "yoga vacations" span the world from South America to Europe, where culture, yoga, education and fun blend in amazing vacations.  Laura is also the director of Heart Mountain Yoga School, a Yoga Alliance Registered School.  She offers teacher trainings, continuing education, and additional classes that bring yoga to life.

She is thrilled to be able to share yoga with everyone and firmly believes that yoga is for every body.  She looks forward to sharing yoga with you!
